Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of Tactura, an iPadOS application for turning 2D images into 2.5D relief models and exporting those models for your own creative and manufacturing workflows.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Tactura, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the application. You must also comply with Apple’s terms for the App Store and your device.
2. The Tactura license
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Tactura on Apple devices you own or control. Tactura is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, or use the app to create a competing service except where applicable law permits.
3. Your content and exports
You retain ownership of the images, artwork, and other content you bring into Tactura. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that content. You also retain ownership of the models and images you export, subject to any rights in the source material.
Tactura’s output is an automated creative aid. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and safely using exported files, especially before manufacturing or 3D printing.
4. Third-party components
Tactura incorporates third-party software components, including an image-processing library, the Depth Anything V2 model, and a mesh-simplification routine. Those components are compiled into the app and run locally. Their applicable licenses are provided with the app or in its acknowledgements.
5. Availability and changes
We may improve, update, suspend, or discontinue features of Tactura. Some features may depend on the capabilities of your iPad and its operating system. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or input.
6. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tactura is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties about the accuracy, suitability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of the app or its outputs. Always inspect and test a model before relying on it for a physical object.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, or production arising from use of Tactura. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Privacy
Your use of Tactura is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains the app’s on-device processing and lack of personal-data collection.
9. Contact and governing law
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction listed above, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
