Privacy Policy
Tactura does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. Your artwork is analysed by an artificial-intelligence model that runs entirely on your own device, and it never leaves that device unless you deliberately export a file.
1. Summary at a glance
2. The AI model runs on your device
Converting a flat image into a relief requires estimating how far every pixel of that image is from the viewer — a task called monocular depth estimation. Tactura bundles Depth Anything V2 (Large), converted to Apple’s Core ML format at half precision. The model executes locally on Apple silicon inside your iPad.
Every other stage — image preparation, depth correction, region segmentation, volume construction, layer blending, mesh generation, and file export — is computed on your iPad using code compiled into the app.
3. What this means in practice
- Your images are never transmitted to us, a cloud inference provider, Apple, or anyone else.
- Nothing you make is used to train or fine-tune machine-learning models.
- The app works with no connection at all. Capture, crop, convert, refine, and export continue to work offline.
- No usage telemetry is produced. We do not know what you convert, how long it took, or whether it succeeded.
4. Information the app can access
Camera
If you choose to photograph artwork inside the app, iPadOS asks for camera permission. The still image is saved into the app’s private storage. Tactura does not record video, capture audio, use the camera in the background, or transmit any frame.
Photo library
When you import an existing image, Tactura uses the standard iPadOS photo picker and receives only the single image you select. It does not browse or enumerate the rest of your library.
Files, when you export
When exporting, the system document picker lets you choose a destination. Tactura writes only the single file you asked for. If you choose a cloud-synchronised destination, that provider’s own privacy policy governs the copy you placed there.
5. What Tactura stores
All application data lives inside Tactura’s sandbox on your iPad: the project record, source image, and a regenerable checkpoint file. We hold no copy because none of this data is ever sent to us. Deleting a project or deleting the app removes the local data. iCloud or computer backups are controlled by Apple under Apple’s own terms.
6. No third-party data collection
Tactura contains no analytics framework, crash-reporting service, advertising network, attribution SDK, social-media integration, or third-party service that receives data about you. Embedded components execute locally and do not communicate with network services.
7. Children’s privacy
Tactura collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is no sign-up, profile, messaging, user-generated-content feed, or advertising.
8. Security and changes
Application data is stored in the iOS sandbox and protected by iOS Data Protection and the device’s hardware encryption. We will update this policy before shipping features that change these answers and will describe material changes in the App Store release notes.
9. Contact
We aim to reply to privacy enquiries within 30 days. This policy covers the Tactura application only; it does not cover the App Store, iCloud, or third-party services you choose to export a file into.
